How Spire works.Every rule, in one place.
Where the money comes from
$SPIRE launched on Obol. Obol pays a 1% creator fee on every trade, and Spire's creator is a contract, the fee collector, so that fee can only go one place: the Spire treasury. There is no extra buy or sell tax.
Hourly rounds
- A round runs every hour, on the hour.
- At the start of a round the keeper collects the fees, then buys the basket with the treasury's HYPE at random times during the round, so the buys can't be front-run. A small amount (0.02 HYPE) always stays in the treasury.
- Each buy keeps price impact under 3%; bigger budgets are split into several buys.
- When the round ends, everything bought that round is split between eligible holders and airdropped.
- If a round collects too little to buy with, the HYPE carries over to the next round. Nothing is lost.
Who earns, and how much
- Your share is based on your time-weighted balance over the hour: holding the whole hour counts fully, buying halfway counts half. Buying right before the round ends doesn't game it.
- You need a time-weighted balance of at least 10,000 $SPIRE in a round to earn in it.
- Small amounts aren't lost: what you're owed builds up and is sent once a token's balance is worth at least 0.002 HYPE. Bigger holders get paid every round, smaller holders every few rounds.
- Airdrops only go to wallets that still hold $SPIRE when they're sent. If you sell out, what you're owed waits 7 days for you to come back, then returns to the pool.
- Pools, routers, the launchpad and Spire's own contracts never earn, so holders aren't diluted by them.
Baskets
Each holder chooses which basket their share of every round is spent on. Switching is free: you sign a message with your wallet, no transaction. A change applies from the next round. Every basket is rule-based and re-ranked every 24 hours, and a token only gets in if the treasury can buy it through an approved route.
Spire Index (default)
The 6 strongest tokens on Elysium. To qualify a token must be at least 3 days old, have 150 holders, $75K market cap and $2K daily volume. Ranked by market cap, weighted by size with every token between 5% and 30%. A token already in the index keeps its seat unless it falls more than 2 places below the cut. OBOL always holds a seat: Spire launched on Obol.
Blue Chips
The 4 biggest tokens on Elysium by market cap. At least 3 days old, 150 holders, $200K market cap and $20K daily volume.
Exchanges
The tokens of Elysium's trading platforms (KLEOS, BOXA, STOCKIUM, AGORA, ELYSP, VOLTA, EOS). Up to 5 that are at least 1 day old with 50 holders, $75K market cap and $10K daily volume.
Rising
The 4 most-traded tokens under $750K market cap that aren't in Blue Chips. No minimum age, so new tokens can get in on day one. At least 50 holders, $75K market cap and $20K daily volume.
A basket's share builds up across rounds until it's big enough to buy with (0.003 HYPE), so even small groups get paid.
The treasury
- Nobody can withdraw from the treasury. HYPE only leaves it to buy basket tokens, through approved trading routes, capped at 5 HYPE per buy, and every buy must return at least a minimum amount of tokens or it reverts.
- Tokens only leave it as airdrops to wallets that hold $SPIRE.
- The keeper (the bot that runs rounds) can pause the treasury in an emergency, but can't take anything.
The Spire Launcher
Anyone can launch a coin on Obol through Spire and it works like $SPIRE: hourly rounds, a basket, airdrops to its holders. The creator picks up to 6 tokens or uses Spire's auto basket. Every harvest of the coin's creator fee splits automatically: 89% to that coin's holders, 10% to $SPIRE holders, 1% to the keeper for gas. The split is fixed in the contract.
